Education & Equity
In 2008 and 2009, the positions of Vice-President (Education & Equity), Equity Officer and Education Officer were created.
These portfolios are new and welcome additions to the LSS. In 2012, these portfolios will be collectively responsible for the:
- Inaugural LexisNexis Textbook Equity Program;
- Perspectives on Law Dinner;
- Inaugural Speaker Series;
- Mentoring Program;
- Spectrum Careers Networking Evening;
- Preparation of a database of social justice and pro bono opportunities for the first time;
- Fundraising for selected charities;
- Shift towards making the LSS carbon neutral; and
- Organisation of a tutoring program.
