The UTS Law Students' Society is currently developing a Textbook Equity Program, scheduled to commence in Semester 1, 2010. The program is intended to help students who are experiencing financial difficulties gain access to textbooks.
We're hoping to be able to loan textbooks to students for the length of the semester to ease some of the financial burden of law school.
As a result, we're looking for donations from students of your old law books for any of the core UTS subjects:
* Perspectives on Law
* Legal Method and Research
* Criminal Law
* Law of Torts
* Law of Contracts
* Real Property
* Commercial Law
* Administrative Law
* Corporate Law
* Australian Constitutional Law
* Equity and Trusts
* Evidence and Criminal Procedure
* Legal Ethics
Anything you have will be acceptable, be they the prescribed texts, annotated legislation, study aids or any extraneous texts. Recent, but old editions are also absolutely acceptable.
We can't offer anything in return at the moment except our honest thanks, the satisfying feeling of helping other students and the knowledge that if ever you're in a position where you can't afford next semesters books, we'll be here to help.
If you have any textbooks you'd like to donate, please drop into the LSS Office at 5B.1.03 at any time, and be sure to leave your name, email and contact telephone number so we can keep in contact with you.
We'll be announcing the system to apply for textbooks as soon as we've got an inventory together, and when everything is ready and sorted, a list will be uploaded to our website at www.utslss.com.
Thanks so much guys!
