Live Below the Line - May 2011
During the week of Monday, 16 May 2011 to Friday, 20 May 2011, many of you participated in The Oaktree Foundation's Live Below the Line campaign. More than 20 of our dedicated members lived off just $2 a day during the campaign and were able to raise a total of $5,703.99! These vital funds will be used across the Asia-Pacific region to support critical anti-poverty initiatives.

Sydney Homeless Connect - June 2011
On Tuesday, 7 June 2011 more than 20 of our members volunteered for Sydney's second Homeless Connect event. Sydney Homeless Connect brought together 81 service providers at Sydney's Town Hall to assist more than 1,800 homeless guests on the day.

National Tree Day - July 2011
We are committed to improving our environment and that's why we've partnered with Pyrmont Ultimo Landcare to help regenerate degraded urban land near UTS.

Local provenance is the best way to increase biodiversity and rejuvenating native plants helps combat climate change by locking up carbon!
More than 30 of our members have registered to volunteer on Sunday, 31 July 2011 to restore damaged land near the Wentworth Park light rail station. A lot of fun will be had with a well deserved lazy lunchtime BBQ lined up in the park afterwards!

A strong team of 27 UTS LSS members registered to run City2Surf on Sunday, 14 August 2011 to raise funds for Chris Boyd and his tumour warriors from AYAC.
