Law Ball: 19 October 2012
On Friday, 19 October, the highlight of the Law Students' Society (LSS) social calendar will arrive - Law Ball 2012. We would like to again thank the generous sponsors for this event - Freehills. Their ongoing support of Law Ball is very much appreciated and we look forward to continuing our partnership in the future.
This year, we will be hosting the Law Ball at [TBC].
The LSS will be supporting Australian Youth Against Cancer (AYAC) for the third year running in order to raise awareness and funds for the charity. The event will build upon the close relationship between the LSS and AYAC and, more importantly, help build support for the cause. To raise funds, the LSS will be holding a raffle on the night. We will be releasing the prize list and opening a website to purchase tickets from prior to the event, however will also be selling tickets on the night.
The cost of the event will be $115 for financial members of the LSS and $135 for non-members. In this regard, please note that you will only be a member of the LSS if you purchased membership in 2011. If you are unsure, please email the Admin Director, Kate Taylor, at

Membership of the LSS is only $20 (which is the difference in price between member and non-member tickets to this event) and will last for the duration of your degree. Membership entitles you to discounts to all of our social events and eligibility to compete in our competitions and apply for a textbook loan through the LexisNexis Textbook Equity Scheme. Despite 550 tickets being sold, we recommend purchasing your tickets early, as this is our most popular event and likely to sell out very quickly.
