As the President of the UTS Law Students’ Society (UTS LSS), I am honoured to represent the talented cohort of law students with their diverse backgrounds, passions and ambitions.
The UTS LSS is the peak representative body for all law students at UTS, from undergraduate to Juris Doctor and everyone in between. As the largest student-run organisation on campus, our aim is to support and benefit our members through a number of initiatives, events, activities and publications. We also seek to equip our members with the tools to expand their experiences and develop professionally, personally, academically and socially.
Any student enrolled to study at UTS:Law is eligible for free membership. There are always opportunities to get involved throughout the year: whether through our internal and intervarsity competitions, contributing or editing our publications, or simply showing up to our events!
In 2017, our main aims are to consolidate the Society’s past successes and strive to foster a culture of openness and support for all members. We are committed to promoting our students’ mental wellness and balance. Combined with this is our vision for the UTS Law Student’s Society’s to ensure our members have a forward-thinking approach to legal challenges and are equipped to face the demands of a changing landscape for graduates.
Through our strong relationship with our the UTS Law Faculty, sponsors, partners and community organisations and we look forward to working hard in enriching the university experience for all our students.
If you have any questions about the UTS Law Students’ Society or would like to get involved, please don’t hesitate to contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org or simply say hi if you see me around campus.
