“Superheroes. Confetti. Fairy wings and bubbles. These were just some of the things that coloured the visit to Westmead Children’s Hospital on the 1st of May.” (UTS Law Student, Sidnie Sarang)
The UTS Law Student’s Society provides the opportunity for UTS Law students to visit Westmead Children’s hospital and bring some happiness to those who may be in need of some laughter.
The visit will take place during the Autumn and Spring Semesters and will require students to dress up in colourful costumes as well as run activities for the patients. This event provides the perfect opportunity to put on a smile on children’s faces and give back to the greater community. Participants will be entitled to Leadership through Service Hours. Spaces are limited so make sure to quickly apply and keep your eyes peeled for application details!
Applications for the Westmead Children’s Hospital visit in the 2017 Autumn session are now open! The visit will be held on Friday 12th May, from 9am-12pm. To apply, click here. Spots are allocated on a first come, first served basis, so get in quick!
For any concerns or questions about the Westmead Visit please contact Anna Fletcher at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Its significance cannot be understated, and I strongly recommend the event to incoming law students, and current students to dedicate a single day to volunteering one’s time for a truly selfless act of compassion. (Sidnie Sarang)
